Practical Ultrasound Education

In response to the rapid evolution in ultrasound technology, including the arrival of smart-phone based applications in the near future who increase its availability, Handsonecho meets the need of ultrasound education among health care workers. For more info, visit www.handsonecho.be

Activities

Handsonecho is a Belgium based practical ultrasound teaching platform with the following goals:

1. Organising practical ultrasound courses. This stimulates the use of ultrasound in medecine and meets the need of education in this field.   Education is efficiently provided in small groups, gathering health care workers with the same interest in a sociable and convivial athmosphere.

2. The creation of an online ultrasound community for health care workers with interest in ultrasonography.

Target groups

In first place doctors and doctors in training. On request, also technetians and nursing staff can be trained.

Projects

The organisation of

1.Basic ultrasound lessons (the start-to-scan modules).

2.Ultrasound masterclasses (for advanced ultrasonographers).

3.Collaboration and networking  with other ultrasound related initiatives and organisations.
